Welcome to

Queensland Military Rifle Club Inc.

The Queensland Military Rifle Club Inc. was formed in 1984 to cater for shooters who wanted more variety and activity in target shooting. We are NOT a MILITARY Club; we use military-style firearms.

We recognise that military rifle owners have legitimate sporting interests and provide an excellent opportunity to improve shooting skills and compete effectively without being restricted by the constraints of other shooting disciplines.

The Club shoots every weekend, generally alternating Saturdays and Sundays, and visitors are always welcome. Firearms used in major Club competitions in keeping with the spirit and original conception of the Club must be military type (not sporting rifles or sporterized military rifles), although a number of days during the year have been allocated to competition with modified and sporting rifles including rim fire rifles. All firearms and ammunition may be inspected by our Safety Officers to ensure they are safe to use.

We also have several trophy shoots throughout the year, for the more serious competitors, as well as occasional social shoots in conjunction with other clubs. The Club also runs a State Service Rifle Championship open to all Service Rifle shooters both National and International. We also hold the National Championships every other year.

If you have any further inquiries, please don't hesitate to see us at the range at Belmont Shooting Complex on 1485 Old Cleveland Road.
